AARON PICK

As Allen’s President and CEO, Aaron is passionate about creating a company culture where fellow employee-owners love coming to work and are part of a collaborative and relationship-focused team. Since Aaron joined Allen in 2015, the company has transitioned to a 100% employee-owned business, earned recognition as the ESOP (employee-owned) Company of the Year for the Western States region, and ranked as one of the top ten remodelers in the nation. He is especially excited about the company’s focus on pioneering sustainable building practices and continuing to be a national leader in this space.

Aaron’s career has focused on helping companies gain strategic alignment and develop strong, mission-oriented cultures, a background he developed in management consulting while at Accenture and The Bridgespan Group, a spinoff of Bain. Prior to joining Allen Construction, Aaron was Senior Program Officer at the James Irvine Foundation, where he funded education-related companies for over $40 million to increase graduation rates and career-based learning across California. He is also the founder of LA VIDA Education, a nonprofit that ran one of the most attended libraries in Nicaragua, where he lived for three years while developing the company.

Aaron lives in Santa Barbara with his wife, Katie, and their son, Jasper. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley and attended as a Gap Scholar fellowship recipient in corporate social responsibility. In his down time, he is a huge fan of Cal Berkeley sports, the Santa Barbara farmers’ market, fly fishing the streams of California, and doing his best to keep his balance during yoga class, on a mountain bike, or on anything that floats. He is the incoming Chapter Chair for YPO Santa Barbara.
